Dispatch season 2 release date: what AdHoc Studio has confirmed after 4 million players

Dispatch season 2 has no release date, and AdHoc Studio hasn’t announced it. Here’s what AdHoc has confirmed since the season 1 finale, how the first season was released and what a second one would cost.

Is Dispatch season 2 confirmed?

AdHoc Studio hasn’t announced a second season of Dispatch. The studio’s site sums up the first one as a hit, with more than 4 million players, 4.4 billion views and multiple BAFTA wins, and says only that the team is “hard at work on more”, without naming a project.

Every Dispatch announcement since the Nov. 12, 2025, finale has been about the first season: new platforms, patches, a physical edition, bundles, awards and a panel with the voice cast at San Diego Comic-Con on July 24, 2026. AdHoc also co-wrote the story of Firesprite’s Until Dawn 2, which comes out on PS5 on Jan. 28, 2027.

How season 1 was released

AdHoc announced the release date on Sept. 17, 2025, and released Dispatch as eight episodes, two every Wednesday for four weeks. Episodes 1 and 2 arrived on Oct. 22, 2025, 3 and 4 on Oct. 29, 5 and 6 on Nov. 5, and the finale, Episode 7, Retrospective, and Episode 8, Synergy, on Nov. 12. AdHoc said it chose the weekly drops for the conversation and speculation they create between episodes.

You play Robert Robertson, the hero Mecha Man, whose mech suit is destroyed and who takes a job as a dispatcher at the Superhero Dispatch Network in Los Angeles, in charge of a team of former supervillains. AdHoc’s team includes the writers and directors of Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us.

What AdHoc has done since the finale

Dispatch reached Switch on Jan. 28, 2026, with a Switch 2 Edition that adds higher resolution and better frame rates. The Nintendo version is censored, and the free HR Violations Pack from June 17, 2026, lets Switch players choose partial or full coverage in a Mosaic, Chaotic or Blackout style. The same day, the Steam version got the optional filters, with uncensored as the default.

The game came to Xbox Series X and S and to PC through the Xbox app on July 29, 2026, at 12 p.m. ET, as an Xbox Play Anywhere title. A patch on July 14, 2026, added Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Thai, Polish and Ukrainian text. On Aug. 25, 2026, AdHoc opened pre-orders for a physical Deluxe Edition at $49.99 on PS5, Xbox Series X and S and Switch 2, with a SteelBook version at $59.99, both arriving in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Prices and editions

Dispatch costs $29.99, and the Digital Deluxe Edition Upgrade costs $10.99, with The Art of Dispatch artbook of more than 100 pages and four digital comics. On Oct. 19, 2026, both were 20% off on Steam, at $23.99 and $8.79, and the game was $23.99 in the Xbox and Nintendo US stores as well. The game launched on PS5 and Steam on Oct. 22, 2025.

Awards and players

Dispatch earned nine nominations at the BAFTA Games Awards in April 2026 and won three: Audio, Animation and a Supporting Role award for Jeffrey Wright as Chase. Players voted it Outstanding Story-Rich Game at the Steam Awards 2025, and AdHoc’s site counts more than 4 million players.

The voice cast includes Aaron Paul as Robert, Laura Bailey as Invisigal, Erin Yvette as Blonde Blazer, Travis Willingham as Phenomaman and Alanah Pearce as Malevola.

What a second season would cost

AdHoc hasn’t priced or announced season 2. Expected price: about $29.99, our estimate, the price of season 1.
