Dishonored 3 release date: not announced, and Arkane Lyon is making Marvel's Blade instead
Dishonored 3 doesn't have a release date, because Bethesda and Arkane haven't announced it. The last game in the series, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, came out in September 2017. Arkane Lyon, the studio behind Dishonored, has been making Marvel's Blade since its reveal in December 2023, and Xbox said on July 6, 2026, that Arkane's management in France was starting a review of potential strategic options for the studio.
The last Dishonored game turned nine in September, and the studio behind it is busy with Blade while Xbox reviews its future. Here’s what’s official about Dishonored 3.
When does Dishonored 3 come out?
There’s no release date, because Bethesda and Arkane haven’t announced Dishonored 3. They haven’t revealed a title, a platform or a trailer, and dates and videos shared online under that name aren’t official.
The first Dishonored came out in October 2012, Dishonored 2 on Nov. 11, 2016, and the standalone Dishonored: Death of the Outsider in September 2017. By simple arithmetic, that’s nine years without a new Dishonored as of September 2026.
What Arkane Lyon is making instead
Arkane Lyon, the studio behind Deathloop and the Dishonored series, is working on Marvel’s Blade. Bethesda and Marvel Games revealed it in December 2023 as a mature, single-player, third-person game with an original story, set in Paris. Bethesda and Arkane haven’t given it a release date or platforms.
Arkane’s future at Xbox
On July 6, 2026, Xbox announced a reset that moved four studios to new management and said Arkane’s management in France was beginning required consultation with its Works Council to review potential strategic options. On Sept. 22, 2026, Xbox said the consultation with Arkane remains underway and is expected to continue through the end of the year. In July, Xbox also said that no publicly announced first-party games were being canceled.
