Black Ops 7 Season 6: The Haunting launched Sept. 17, and Activision hasn't announced an end date

Black Ops 7 is in its sixth season, and Activision hasn’t said when it ends. Here’s when it started, what it added and what comes next.

When did Black Ops 7 Season 6 start?

On Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, at 9 a.m. PT (noon ET), on all platforms, according to Activision. Season 6, called The Haunting, covers Black Ops 7 and Warzone, and Activision pitched it as a Halloween season with horror versions of maps, zombies across several modes and a DOOM crossover.

When does Black Ops 7 Season 6 end?

Activision hasn’t announced an end date as of Oct. 18, and it hasn’t announced a Season 7 for Black Ops 7. Modern Warfare 4 launches on Friday, Oct. 23, and Activision says Warzone’s next chapter starts with Modern Warfare 4’s Season 1, which it hasn’t dated yet. There are hints of a short season. Activision says Ranked Play has a shortened run in Season 6, both in Multiplayer and in Warzone’s Resurgence Ranked Play, and its notes describe the Resurgence ranked season as lasting four weeks. It also says Season 6 is the last chance to play Black Ops Royale in Warzone.

From Modern Warfare 4’s Season 1, Activision says Black Ops 7 operators, skins and blueprints stay available in Warzone, and the weapons move to a Legacy tab in the loadout menu, without Gunsmith or saved custom loadouts.

Black Ops 7 Season 6 Multiplayer maps and modes

Two maps launched with the season. Quantum is a new medium-size 6v6 map set in a quantum computing facility buried in Arctic ice, and Bloodstead is a horror retheme of Homestead, with blood-red water and zombies around the edges.

T.E.D.D. Trials brings three Zombies maps, Roadkill, Inferno and Lost, into Multiplayer for the first time in Black Ops 7, with 6v6 teams racing through a rotating set of tasks. Hordepoint, where zombies side with the team holding the objective, and Freeze Tag return during the season, along with an Appreciation Moshpit of top-voted maps from the past year.

The new Tenshu Survival map is set in the central keep of the castle from Kowakujō, with rewards at rounds 10, 25 and 50. Rex Infernus, which Activision calls the final round-based Zombies map for Black Ops 7, gets a Directed Mode with on-screen quest steps and a round cap of 15, plus a Starting Room challenge.

Rogue Run adds three pedestal rewards, Pack-a-Punch IV, an Ultra-rarity weapon upgrade and Golden Armor, along with Casual and Hardcore playlists for Paradox Junction and Kowakujō and pumpkin-headed zombies for Halloween. Black Ops 7 Season 6 Warzone

Haunted Hollow turns the Haven’s Hollow Resurgence map into a Halloween version with a Ghost Train that carries supplies, trick-or-treat pumpkins with Zombies power-ups and eldritch changes around town. Giant Infected returns as a 64-player mode on that map, with eight players starting as the Infected while Survivors build a DNA bomb.

New winstreak challenges award six camos across Battle Royale, Resurgence and Black Ops Royale, and Resurgence Ranked Play runs on Rebirth Island, Fortune’s Keep and Haven’s Hollow.

Black Ops 7 Season 6 battle pass, weapons and DOOM event

The battle pass costs 1,100 COD Points, or 2,400 COD Points for the bundle with 20 Tokens, and Activision says it has more than 100 rewards and up to 1,100 COD Points to earn back. It’s led by Blackjack, a new operator from The Guild, and it includes two new weapons, the semi-auto TR51 Para assault rifle and the VMP SMG, last seen in Black Ops 4. BlackCell adds the Revenant operator.

Events add the Arcblade melee weapon, through the Camo Costume Party, and the Roc 20mm special weapon, through the limited-time DOOM Event Pass, which also has the Doom Slayer operator and a Doom Guy skin. Activision counts more than 45 weapon camos to earn during Season 6.
