Roblox gave this guidance on July 30. Bookings are the number to watch: they count what players spend on Robux during the quarter, while revenue spreads most purchases over the estimated lifetime of a paying user. That gap is why revenue is guided up and bookings down. Operating cash flow is guided at $110 million to $175 million, against $546 million a year earlier, and capital spending at $170 million, against $104 million, which together bring free cash flow to around zero.

Why Roblox bookings are set to fall

The 2025 surge sets the bar. From July to September 2025, bookings and daily active users both grew 70% from a year earlier, according to Roblox’s own figures. Growth has slowed in every quarter since.

The guidance range sits above the $1.557 billion Roblox booked from April to June, so the quarter grows from the spring and shrinks only against the 2025 peak.

How Roblox did from April to June

Revenue rose 36% to $1.469 billion, and bookings rose 8% to $1.557 billion. Average daily active users reached 123 million, up 10%, and players spent 29 billion hours on the platform, up 5%. Roblox posted a consolidated net loss of $185 million, adjusted EBITDA of $152 million, operating cash flow of $318 million, up 60%, and free cash flow of $294 million, up 66%.

Revenue grew faster than bookings because purchases from the 2025 surge are still being recognized as revenue. On console, Roblox ranked fifth among free-to-play downloads on PS5 and PS4 in the US in September and fourth in Europe, as our PS Store top downloads for September page shows.

What to watch on Oct. 29

Three numbers decide the reaction. Bookings against the $1.576 billion to $1.653 billion range, daily active users after 10% growth in the spring, and Roblox’s forecast for October to December, the holiday quarter, which arrives with the results.
