PS5 Pro price: $899.99 in the US, $200 more than at launch after two increases
The PS5 Pro costs $899.99 in the US, Sony's recommended price since April 2, 2026. It launched at $699.99 on Nov. 7, 2024, went up to $749.99 on Aug. 21, 2025, and rose another $150 in Sony's worldwide increase in April 2026, so it costs $200 more than at launch. Sony's own store, direct.playstation.com, lists it at $899. The price includes a 2 TB SSD and a DualSense controller, but no disc drive, which Sony sells separately and introduced at $79.99. In the UK the PS5 Pro costs £789.99, in Europe €899.99 and in Japan ¥137,980. Sony hasn't announced a price cut.

How much is the PS5 Pro?
$899.99 in the US, Sony’s recommended price since April 2, 2026. Sony’s own store, direct.playstation.com, lists it at $899, and retailers set their own prices and sales.
For that, you get the console with a 2 TB SSD and a DualSense controller. The PS5 Pro has no disc drive: Sony sells the Disc Drive for PS5 separately and introduced it at $79.99. Compared with the rest of the family, the PS5 Pro costs $250 more than the PS5 with a disc drive at $649.99 and $300 more than the Digital Edition at $599.99. Our PS5 price page has every model.
PS5 Pro price history
Sony revealed the PS5 Pro on Sept. 10, 2024, at $699.99, opened pre-orders on Sept. 26 and released it on Nov. 7, 2024.
The first increase came in the US only on Aug. 21, 2025, when Sony raised the PS5 Pro to $749.99, citing a challenging economic environment. The second was worldwide. On April 2, 2026, the PS5 Pro went to $899.99, along with the PS5, the Digital Edition and PlayStation Portal, and Sony blamed “continued pressures in the global economic landscape.” In all, the Pro costs $200 more than at launch, more than any other PS5 model.
PS5 Pro price in the UK, Europe and Japan
Since April 2, 2026, the PS5 Pro costs £789.99 in the UK, €899.99 in Europe and ¥137,980 in Japan. At launch, Sony set it at £699.99, €799.99 and ¥119,980, so it’s up £90, €100 and ¥18,000.
What a PS5 Pro costs with a disc drive or GTA 6
Adding the Disc Drive, which Sony introduced at $79.99 and its store lists at $79, takes a PS5 Pro to $979.98 at recommended prices. GTA 6, which launches on Nov. 19, costs $79.99 for the Standard Edition, and Sony hasn’t announced a console bundle, as our PS5 Pro GTA 6 bundle page explains.
