PlayStation’s first wireless speakers land in mid-November, and one price covers both speakers. Here’s when Pulse Elevate comes out, what it costs in each country and what the speakers do.

When does Pulse Elevate come out?

Thursday, Nov. 12, 2026, in Midnight Black and White, at PlayStation Direct and participating retailers. Sony set the date on Aug. 18 and opened pre-orders on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m. local time, which was 10 a.m. ET in the US. PlayStation Direct in the US and Sony’s UK store list both colors as pre-order items in stock and limit buyers to one per order because of high demand.

The speakers reach stores a little over a year after the reveal. Sony showed them at State of Play on Sept. 24, 2025, with a 2026 window, shared hands-on impressions on June 1, 2026, and announced the price and date in August. Southeast Asia gets both colors on Nov. 12 as well.

The price covers the pair, left and right speakers, and both colors cost the same. Sony’s UK store lists £199.99 and its German and French stores list €219.99 for each color, and retailers set their own deals. For console prices, see our PS5 price page.

Midnight Black, White and where to buy

Midnight Black sells worldwide through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers. White is the limited color: PlayStation Direct carries it in the US, the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Portugal, and select retailers stock it elsewhere, both while supplies last. Sony hasn’t named any retail partners for the speakers.

Planar magnetic drivers, mic and Tempest 3D Audio

Each speaker pairs a planar magnetic driver, the same driver type as in the Pulse Elite headset and Pulse Explore earbuds, with a built-in woofer for the bass. On PS5, Tempest 3D AudioTech places sound cues in supported games, and the PS5 system menus handle EQ presets, custom profiles, volume and mic mute.

The right speaker holds a microphone with AI-enhanced noise rejection. During Sony’s hands-on, a call recorded over loud music played back with only the voice audible. The controls include volume buttons, a mute button with an LED for chat and a PlayStation Link button that swaps between devices. Each speaker also tilts, so it can face you on a desk in a horizontal or vertical position.

Battery, size and what’s in the box

Sony’s June hands-on report puts the built-in battery at 12 hours of play, and each speaker charges on its own dock.

The box holds the left and right speakers, two charging docks, the PlayStation Link USB adapter with a USB-C connector, two USB-C to USB-C cables and a manual. A power adapter isn’t on the list, so plan on your own USB-C charger.

PS5, PC, Mac and PlayStation Portal

PlayStation Link gives low-latency, lossless audio on PS5, PC, Mac and PlayStation Portal, the same link used by the Pulse Elite headset and Pulse Explore earbuds. Bluetooth covers phones, TVs and streaming devices, and the speakers play both at once, so game audio comes through PlayStation Link while music or voice chat comes through Bluetooth. Sony adds PC sound settings after launch.

With Portal, the speakers turn into a portable setup away from the TV. For what’s known about a PS6 handheld, see our PS6 handheld page. The $84.99 LISA DualSense controller launched Friday, Oct. 30, and holiday discounts sit in our PS5 Black Friday 2026 tracker.

This page is updated as soon as Sony changes the price, adds the PC settings or White sells out.
