8BitDo's $119.99 Arcade Controller Pro adds a screen and hot-swap switches, shipping Nov. 30

The 8BitDo Arcade Controller Pro, an all-button fight stick for Switch, Switch 2 and Windows PCs, costs $119.99 and ships on Monday, Nov. 30, 2026, according to 8BitDo's own store, where pre-orders opened on Oct. 22. Amazon in the US takes pre-orders too. Two versions sell at the same price, the light gray and black N Edition and a White Edition. That's $30 more than the original Arcade Controller at $89.99, and the Pro adds a 1.47-inch display, a fifth programmable button, a magnetic wrist rest, a quick-release tempered glass faceplate and new low-profile linear switches co-developed with Kailh. 8BitDo lists no PS5 or Xbox support.

8BitDo’s leverless fight stick gets a pro version, and it ships on Cyber Monday. Here’s what the Arcade Controller Pro costs, when it arrives and what changes from the original.

How much is the 8BitDo Arcade Controller Pro?

$119.99 on 8BitDo’s own store, for either version, and Amazon in the US takes pre-orders too.

The original Arcade Controller lists at $89.99, and the Xbox version of that controller at $99.99. Through Nov. 8, 8BitDo’s store puts both in a 10% off fighting game sale that leaves out the Pro. The Pro ships on Cyber Monday, three days after Black Friday on Nov. 27. For what to expect from Switch 2 on Black Friday, see our Switch 2 Black Friday 2026 guide.

When does the Arcade Controller Pro ship?

Monday, Nov. 30, 2026, according to the title of 8BitDo’s store listing, which went live on Oct. 22. 8BitDo first showed the controller in June and had pointed to September for pre-orders before they opened in October.

The Pro keeps the same 301 by 201 mm footprint but uses smaller buttons with tighter spacing, so every input sits closer to your fingers. The 15-hour rating assumes the RGB lighting is off.

What’s new on the Pro

The 1.47-inch display shows your inputs and battery level and handles core settings without a PC. A fifth programmable button, P5, joins P1 to P4, and any of the five can take a flat lock cap to block stray presses; the five caps live inside the magnetic wrist rest.

A release button on the back lifts the tempered glass faceplate for quick access to the switches. The Core Green linear switches, co-developed with Kailh, are hot-swappable, and three spares plus a puller sit inside the case. Illuminated button labels change between Switch and PC layouts, a dedicated Capture button takes Switch screenshots, and a metal lock holds the USB-C cable in either of two ports, on the top or the side.

Compatibility, battery and software

The controller works with Windows 10 (version 1903 and later), the original Switch and Switch 2. It connects through a 2.4 GHz adapter on PC and over Bluetooth on Switch, and it works wired on both. The 3,000 mAh battery charges in about 4 hours.

8BitDo Ultimate Software V2 covers button mapping, macros, SOCD modes and RGB colors, and a turn-and-click dial on the control panel, set apart from the action buttons, switches connection modes and turns on Tournament Lock. 8BitDo signed on as presenting sponsor of the 2026 Street Fighter League Americas and EMEAA seasons, both played on Street Fighter 6, and our Street Fighter 6 on Switch 2 page covers that game on Nintendo’s console.
