Apex Legends' last LAN before Sapporo is in Las Vegas. Here’s when the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs run, what tickets include, what the winner takes home and how teams get to the Championship.
When and where is ALGS Las Vegas 2026?
From Thursday, Oct. 29, to Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, at Orleans Arena, 4500 W. Tropicana Ave., Las Vegas, according to EA. It’s the second of three global LAN events in ALGS Year 6, after the Split 1 Playoffs at the Esports World Cup 2026, and the last one before the ALGS Championship. EA puts the whole Year 6 season at $7 million in prize money.

The official rules split the four days this way: group stage series one to three on Oct. 29, series four to six on Oct. 30, the winners round and both elimination rounds on Oct. 31, and the Match Point Finals on Sunday, Nov. 1. Las Vegas is three hours behind ET, so a 10 a.m. start at the arena is 1 p.m. ET. EA’s posts don’t list match times yet. The broadcast runs on the official Apex Legends esports channels on Twitch and YouTube, and on the ALGS website through its Multiview tool.

ALGS Split 2 Playoffs prize money
The prize pool is $2 million, and all 40 teams get paid. The winner takes $600,000, second place $300,000, third $200,000 and fourth $150,000. Fifth gets $125,000, sixth $100,000, seventh $80,000, eighth $60,000, ninth $50,000 and 10th $40,000, and the payouts keep falling to $2,500 for 40th.
Prize money is split equally among the players on each team. EA also covers economy flights and six hotel nights for up to three players on every team.
Who plays at ALGS Las Vegas?
Forty teams. EA split the spots by each region’s results at the Split 1 Playoffs: 15 for the Americas, 10 for APAC North, eight for APAC South and seven for EMEA. Each region’s Regional Finals winner qualified automatically, APAC South on Sept. 12 and the other three regions on Sept. 13, and the rest of the spots went down the final Split 2 Pro League standings. Teams are seeded within their regions by Championship Points and placed into four groups of 10, with each region’s No. 1 seed leading a different group.

Each group meets every other group in a six-match series over the first two days. The top 20 then start Saturday in the winners round, where the best 10 go straight to the finals, and the bottom 20 start in the first elimination round, where only the top 10 survive. A second elimination round sends 10 more teams to the Match Point Finals, where a team must reach 50 points and then win a match to take the title.
The last global event, the Split 1 Playoffs at the Esports World Cup 2026, went to UNLIMIT, the first team from Japan to win a global ALGS event. Our Esports World Cup 2027 page covers where that event goes next.
How teams get to the ALGS Championship
Las Vegas decides most of the field for Sapporo. After the Split 2 Playoffs, the 32 teams with the most Championship Points, counted from the three highest-earning players on each roster, qualify for the Championship. Players need at least 12 matches at an event for its points to count.
The last eight spots come from the Last Chance Qualifier, played online from Nov. 20 to 22, 2026. Each region runs one 40-team double elimination tournament, and the top two in each region go to Sapporo.
When is the ALGS Championship 2027?
From Thursday, Jan. 28, to Sunday, Jan. 31, 2027, at the Daiwa House PREMIST Dome in Sapporo, Japan, the third Championship in a row in Sapporo. Forty teams play for $2 million, with $600,000 for the champion, $300,000 for second, $200,000 for third and $160,000 for fourth. The format is the same three stages, a group stage, a double elimination bracket and Match Point Finals on Championship Sunday.
EA says the last Championship in Sapporo set a record with more than 38,000 tickets sold, and it has promised ticket details for 2027 later. Sapporo is 14 hours ahead of ET in January. Respawn’s other big question in the same universe is on our Titanfall 3 release date page.
This page is updated as soon as EA publishes the Las Vegas match times and again when the Split 2 Playoffs champion is crowned on Nov. 1.
