The Wolf Among Us 2 release date: 2027, on PS5, Xbox, Switch 2 and PC

Bigby Wolf’s second case finally has a release year, almost seven years after it was first revealed. Here’s what’s official.

When does The Wolf Among Us 2 come out?

In 2027, with no month or day. Telltale and co-publisher PM Studios presented the game again at Summer Game Fest in June 2026 with a new trailer, and Telltale’s post of June 15, 2026, says it’s coming in 2027. Steam lists it as coming soon.

There’s no price and pre-orders aren’t open, but you can add it to your wishlist on Steam, the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store and the Epic Games Store.

Why has it taken so long?

Telltale first revealed The Wolf Among Us 2 at The Game Awards on Dec. 12, 2019, as the first new game announced after LCG Entertainment bought the Telltale brand that year. When it showed the first full trailer on Feb. 9, 2022, Telltale was aiming for a 2023 launch and said it would take the time needed to get the game right.

That date passed without a release. In June 2026, Telltale brought the game back with PM Studios, which supports publishing and distribution while Telltale leads development and the story.

Which platforms is it on?

Telltale lists Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PS5, Switch 2, Switch and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. No PS4 version has been announced. That’s a change from 2019, when Telltale said the PC version would launch first as an Epic Games Store exclusive.

What is it about?

The story picks up five months after the first game. Snow White is struggling to keep order in Fabletown, the hidden community of fairy-tale characters in New York, while new forces try to take over its underworld. After a brutal series of crimes, Bigby, the sheriff, is drawn into a conspiracy, and Telltale’s game page says Bigby is betrayed, framed and exiled, and has to work from the shadows.

The Oz Gang is rising in power. Telltale promises more exploration and investigation than before, cinematic combat as Bigby and branching choices with lasting consequences. When Telltale confirmed the game in 2019, it said Adam Harrington and Erin Yvette would return as the voices of Bigby and Snow White.

Play the remaster first

The first game comes back before the sequel. The Wolf Among Us Remastered comes out digitally on Oct. 29, 2026, with all five episodes, a new black-and-white Noir Mode and playable deleted scenes. Our Wolf Among Us Remastered release date page has the platforms and the plan for physical copies.
