Pokémon Pokopia DLC: Part 2 release date, what Bubbly Basin adds and the $34.99 Expansion Pass price

Pokémon Pokopia's DLC is the Expansion Pass, a $34.99 add-on released in three parts that one purchase covers. Part 1, Bubbly Basin, came out on Aug. 5, 2026, and adds an underwater town with watermelons, smoothies, buoyant blocks, a new Dream Island and a mysterious hole in the sea floor. Nintendo schedules Part 2 for late 2026 without a day, and it adds accessories such as sunglasses, a bow tie and a Sylveon ribbon for Ditto and other Pokémon, plus more Pokémon and furniture. Part 3, the final part, is scheduled for 2027 with new features. The pass needs the $69.99 game, and the game and pass together cost $104.99. Expected price for a further expansion after Part 3 is about $34.99, our estimate.

Pokémon Pokopia’s DLC is the $34.99 Expansion Pass, and Nintendo schedules its Part 2 for late 2026. Here’s what Part 1 added, what Parts 2 and 3 bring, how to reach Bubbly Basin and what the pass costs.

Does Pokémon Pokopia have DLC?

Yes. The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass costs $34.99 and releases in three parts, and one purchase gets you all of them. Pokémon Pokopia came out on Switch 2 on March 5, 2026, for $69.99, and the pass went on sale on June 9, 2026. Part 1, Bubbly Basin, arrived on Aug. 5, 2026.

Nintendo’s US store lists the schedule for the rest: Part 2 in late 2026 and Part 3 in 2027. Nintendo says individual parts can’t be bought separately, so the pass is the only way to get the DLC.

Pokopia DLC Part 2 release date and content

Nintendo schedules Part 2 for late 2026 and hasn’t given a day. It showed a first look at Part 2 in its July 29, 2026, video for Bubbly Basin.

Part 2 is about dressing up. Ditto and fellow Pokémon get accessories, from a laid-back pair of sunglasses to a classy bow tie, and some help you match other Pokémon, like the Sylveon ribbon. It also adds more Pokémon and more furniture. Pass owners get it at no extra cost when it releases.

Part 3, the final part

Part 3 is the third and final part of the Expansion Pass, scheduled for 2027. Nintendo says new features and more are planned for it and that more details will be announced in the future.

What Bubbly Basin added

Bubbly Basin is an underwater town with new adventures, furniture, outfits and Pokémon to meet. You can eat its watermelons, make smoothies and build with buoyant blocks, which let buildings float at different levels underwater. Part 1 also adds a new Dream Island with the Starmie doll and a mysterious hole in the sea floor for explorers to investigate.

The same day, the free Ver. 2.0.0 update gave every Pokopia owner the move Dive, which lets you move around and build underwater, so players without the pass can explore the sea too.

How to reach Bubbly Basin

You need Dive first, then the important request Raise the environment level! in Bleak Beach, which means raising Bleak Beach to environment level 5 or higher. After that, seek out Popplio in Bleak Beach and head to Bubbly Basin’s underwater gate. You also need the ability to jump and the move Surf.

Nintendo’s tips for raising an environment level are to build lots of different habitats, which brings in more Pokémon, and to make each Pokémon comfortable with houses, beds and the changes they ask for. Your Pokémon Center PC shows the current level and how close the next one is.

Price and bonuses

The Expansion Pass costs $34.99, and the bundle of the game and the pass costs $104.99, on the Nintendo US store on Oct. 19, 2026. Buying the pass also gets you a Ditto print blocks and wallpaper recipe, claimed from Downloadable Content in the main menu, and an emailed code for 30 rare Pokémetal ingots. Redeem the code by Aug. 31, 2027, then claim the ingots through Mystery Gifts at the Pokémon Center by Sept. 30, 2027.

The pass costs more than the $29.99 Mega Dimension expansion for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, as our Pokémon Legends: Z-A DLC page explains, and it spreads its content over three releases. Expected price for any further expansion after Part 3: about $34.99, our estimate.

Free events while you wait

Pokopia also gets free limited-time events. Pumpkaboo’s Sweet Surprises! runs from Oct. 17 at 5 a.m. to Nov. 1 at 4:59 a.m. local time on Ver. 2.0.1. It needs a rebuilt Pokémon Center and Camouflage from Zorua in Bleak Beach, and it doesn’t run on Cloud Islands or in Bubbly Basin.

Pokémon Pokopia on Switch 2

In Pokopia you play as a Ditto in human form, rebuilding towns and making habitats with Professor Tangrowth, and up to three other players can visit your world. The game has sold 3.68 million copies outside Japan as of June 30, 2026, according to Nintendo, as our Switch 2 sales page explains. For the next mainline game, see our Pokémon Winds and Waves release date page, and for another Switch 2 game’s add-on plans, our Mario Kart World DLC page.

This page is updated as soon as Nintendo dates Part 2 or Part 3 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass.
