Helldivers 2's next Warbond is for snipers: Scope of Authority arrives Oct. 20
The next Helldivers 2 Premium Warbond, Scope of Authority, launches on Tuesday, Oct. 20. It is built for long-range players, with a bolt-action sniper rifle, a backpack-fed anti-materiel rifle, a charged laser rifle and two camouflage armors that cut your detection range when you crouch or lie prone.

Helldivers 2 gets a new Premium Warbond on Tuesday, Oct. 20. It is called Scope of Authority, and it is built around shooting from far away and staying hidden. PlayStation announced it on Oct. 13 with a trailer, and Arrowhead posted the same details on the game’s Steam page.
Weapons built for range. The centerpiece is the R-40 Sightliner, a primary bolt-action sniper rifle with armor-piercing rounds. For bigger targets there is the AMW-20 Apex, an armor-penetrating anti-materiel rifle fed from a backpack, with assisted reload. The LAS-44 Nova joins the LAS energy weapons: it never runs out of ammo and fires a precise, non-explosive thermal shot after a short charge. When enemies get close, the P-44 Mist machine pistol covers you, and G-11 Caltrops scatter proximity-detonated submunitions that slow and stun.
Armor that hides you. The SS-33 Mimetic Marshal light armor is modeled on ghillie suits; the SS-15 Focal Point medium armor has adaptive camouflage and an asymmetrical visor. Both carry the new Stationary Shroud passive, which cuts weapon sway and detection range when you crouch or go prone.
Scope of Authority follows the Ironclad Democracy Warbond, which launched on Sept. 15, and the Warhammer 40,000 Legendary Warbond in August. Helldivers 2 itself costs $39.99 on Steam.
