2026 schedule and results

The 2026 season has four live events. Round 1 ran at Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber in Milan on May 23, Round 2 at Polyphony Digital’s studio in Tokyo on Aug. 15, and Round 3 at the Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on Oct. 3, the series' first event in Southeast Asia.

Jose Serrano of Spain, the defending champion, leads with 12 points thanks to second places in Milan and Singapore. Pol Urra, a fellow Spaniard and Serrano’s teammate, is one point back on 11, and Japan’s Takuma Miyazono and France’s Kylian Drumont share third on 10.

Samuel Moreno Baeza of Spain and Valerio Gallo of Italy have 7 points each, Ryota Kokubun of Japan has 4 and Kaj de Bruin of the Netherlands 2. Round 1: Milan

The season opened on May 23 at Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber in front of a packed theater. In the Nations Cup Sprint Race, which sets the Grand Final grid without awarding points, drivers raced classic road cars such as the Jaguar D-Type and Mercedes-Benz 300 SL over 10 laps of Sardegna Road Track-A, and Spain’s Samuel Moreno Baeza won on debut.

The Grand Final, 27 laps of Monza in the Red Bull X2019 Competition, an 816 ps, 650 kg car, went to Pol Urra, ahead of Serrano and Miyazono. Serrano also won the Manufacturers Cup for Porsche over six laps of Nürburgring Endurance II, ahead of Maximilian Kroll for Ferrari and Jack Balding for Mercedes-AMG.

Round 2: Tokyo

Round 2 on Aug. 15 ran behind closed doors at Polyphony Digital’s headquarters in Koto-ku, Tokyo, the birthplace of Gran Turismo, and aired as a Premiere. Kylian Drumont of France won the Sprint Race at Suzuka in a Honda NSX Type R, then the 35-lap Grand Final at Deep Forest Raceway Reverse, ahead of Valerio Gallo and Samuel Moreno Baeza.

In the Manufacturers Cup, a wet 27-lap race at Fuji International Speedway, Takuma Sasaki gave Porsche a second straight win, ahead of Yuki Kodaka for Lamborghini and Sota Moriyama for Audi.

Round 3: Singapore

The Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands hosted Round 3 on Oct. 3 before a capacity crowd. Miyazono qualified only 11th and finished the Sprint sixth.

In the 24-lap Grand Final at Circuit de Sainte-Croix B Reverse, Miyazono made three pit stops instead of the conventional two, ran the soft tires twice and held on to win from sixth on the grid. Serrano climbed from eighth to second and Urra finished third, while a two-second penalty for contact dropped Drumont to sixth. In the Manufacturers Cup, Daniel Solis won for Subaru in the BRZ GT300 at Autodrome Lago Maggiore, ahead of Nicolás Arriagada for Ferrari and Samuel Cardinal for Mazda.

How the 2026 champions are decided

In Rounds 1 to 3, the top six finishers in each Grand Final scored World Series points, from 6 for a win down to 1 for sixth. World Finals points are added to those totals, and the driver and the manufacturer with the most points at the end are crowned 2026 champions. A tie goes to whoever finishes higher in the World Finals Grand Final.

Polyphony Digital says it will announce the World Finals race format and points later. At the finals, the Manufacturers Cup becomes a team event: each of the 12 brands fields three drivers, one each from Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Americas and Asia-Oceania, for 36 drivers in all. The 12 Nations Cup drivers are the same ones who raced Rounds 1 to 3. The official 2026 rules list no prize money.
