Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis release date: Feb. 12, 2027, with early access from Feb. 10 for Deluxe pre-orders

Lara Croft’s first adventure returns in February, rebuilt from the ground up. Here’s when Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis comes out, what it costs and what’s changed from the 1996 original.

When does Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis come out?

On Friday, Feb. 12, 2027, worldwide, on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC through Steam. If you pre-order the Deluxe or Collector’s Edition, you get 48 hours of early launch access and can play from Wednesday, Feb. 10.

Pre-orders opened on Switch 2 on Sept. 9, 2026. There, the game is a digital download or a Game-Key Card at select retailers, which means the box holds a key rather than the full game, and Nintendo’s store estimates the download at about 58.6 GB. On PC, Steam asks for 80 GB of storage. The game is single-player only, and the ESRB rates it T for Teen.

How much is it, and what’s in each edition?

The Standard Edition costs $59.99 on Steam and in Nintendo’s US eShop, and the Deluxe Edition costs $69.99. Every pre-order comes with the Survivor Outfit, inspired by Lara’s look in Tomb Raider (2013). The Deluxe Edition adds the Parisian Fugitive Outfit, a post-launch DLC story pack and, for pre-orders, the two days of early access.

The Collector’s Edition is sold through physical retailers. It has everything in the Deluxe Edition, plus a Lara Croft vs. The T-Rex statue, a mini art book, a Croft Signet pin, a Triumvirate Talisman keychain and a premium steel case. Separately, linking an Amazon Games iD to Steam, PlayStation Network or Xbox gets you a free Mediterranean Wetsuit Outfit at launch.

What is Legacy of Atlantis?

A full reimagining of the 1996 Tomb Raider. Lara hunts the scattered pieces of the Scion, an artifact of immense power, from the jungles of Peru to the ruins of Greece, the deserts of Egypt and a mysterious Mediterranean island. Crystal Dynamics says the classic story has been expanded with deeper connections to Lara’s future, and Egypt is where the game turns supernatural.

The gameplay is modern. Puzzles have you redirect water and light beams, activate pressure plates and decipher symbols, and combat leans on Lara’s acrobatics and dual pistols. Game director Raul Siqueira put it simply: “This isn’t a cover shooter.”

Who’s in the cast?

Alix Wilton Regan plays Lara Croft. Adrienne Wilkinson plays Jacqueline Natla, the rival who stands between Lara and the secrets of the ancient world, and Bradley Snedeker plays Larson, the hired gun from the original game.

Full voice acting comes in English, French, German, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish and Simplified Chinese. Italian, Spanish for Spain, Japanese, Korean and Traditional Chinese get text only.

What about Tomb Raider: Catalyst?

It’s a separate game. Amazon Game Studios revealed Tomb Raider: Catalyst alongside Legacy of Atlantis at The Game Awards 2025, and the official site gives it its own page, but without a release date so far.
