Marvel Rivals player count: 90,838 on Steam as the Avengers: Endgame mode opened, its best since September
Marvel Rivals jumped to 90,838 concurrent players on Steam at 9:02 p.m. ET on Oct. 23, 2026, minutes into the first session of the new Path to Doomsday: Avengers: Endgame mode, up from 66,309 an hour earlier and its highest Steam count since Sept. 25. Valve's most played chart for Oct. 23 had NetEase's hero shooter at a 61,626 peak and No. 22, one spot lower than a week earlier. At 4:22 a.m. ET on Oct. 24, 34,836 people were playing on Steam. The Endgame mode runs in timed sessions for four weeks, through Nov. 14, with a free Captain America costume, and the all-time Steam record is more than 640,000, set in January 2025, the month after launch.

Marvel Rivals got its biggest Steam crowd in four weeks from one new mode. Here’s how many people play NetEase’s hero shooter, what the Avengers: Endgame mode did to the numbers and how the game compares on Steam.
How many people play Marvel Rivals?
Marvel Rivals peaked at 61,626 concurrent players on Steam on Oct. 23, 2026, according to Valve’s most played chart, which ranked it No. 22, down from No. 21 a week earlier. Steam’s hourly count then climbed to 90,838 at 9:02 p.m. ET, as the first Avengers: Endgame session opened. At 4:22 a.m. ET on Oct. 24, 34,836 people were playing on Steam.
Steam is one storefront. The count leaves out PS5, Xbox Series X and S and the Epic Games Store, and NetEase doesn’t publish a combined live number.
NetEase added Path to Doomsday: Avengers: Endgame in the Oct. 22 patch, with Thanos from the past breaking into the restored timeline. The mode opens in two-hour sessions, and the first one, from 9 to 11 p.m. ET on Oct. 23, moved the Steam count fast:

That’s a 37% jump in one hour. The next sessions run from 6 to 8 a.m. ET and 2 to 4 p.m. ET on Oct. 24, and the schedule repeats each week for four weeks, through Nov. 14. After daylight saving time ends on Nov. 1, the sessions start an hour earlier in ET. The event gives Captain America’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume for free and closes at 4 a.m. ET on Nov. 26. Times Square in the game also got an Avengers: Endgame screening with a Gallery Card, and the shop added Black Cat, Elsa Bloodstone and Jeff the Land Shark bundles.

From January to September 2026, the monthly peak held between 129,219 in June and 199,788 in January, and the biggest months line up with season launches. September’s average of 67,795 players at any moment ran about 5% above September 2025’s 64,418, while the last 30 days averaged 53,375, below October 2025’s 63,716.
What moved Marvel Rivals in 2026
