The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ reaches PS5, Xbox and Switch 2 on Nov. 19 with four-player online co-op

The Binding of Isaac finally goes online on consoles on Nov. 19, with up to four players in every mode. Here’s when it comes out, what it costs on each console and what the complete edition includes. The trailer and key art call it Repentance+ Online.

When does The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ come out on consoles?

Thursday, Nov. 19, 2026. Nicalis announced the date in August for PS5, Xbox Series X and S and Switch 2, and the US Nintendo eShop listing shows the same day for the Switch 2 version.

The eShop page gives the date without an unlock hour, and digital pre-orders there weren’t open when we checked on Oct. 29. The $69.99 physical edition for Switch 2 is up for pre-order on the Nicalis store. It shares the day with GTA 6, the biggest launch of the year, so our GTA 6 release date page and our new games in November 2026 calendar cover the rest of that week.

How much is Repentance+ on PS5, Xbox and Switch 2?

The PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store haven’t listed Repentance+ yet. Expected price: $59.99, our estimate, matching the Switch 2 listing. Repentance, the current console edition without online co-op, also costs $59.99 on both stores.

On Steam, Rebirth costs $14.99, and Repentance+ arrived as a free update for owners of Rebirth and every earlier expansion. Nicalis hasn’t detailed an upgrade for console owners of Repentance.

Online co-op for four players

Online play is the headline. The console versions of Repentance only offer local co-op, and Repentance+ adds full online play for up to four players:

• online play in all game modes, including daily runs, Greed mode and challenges;
• matches with friends, open matches with strangers and a Quick Match with random players;
• filters for hosting or joining matches;
• new leaderboards for online play;
• an Item Information option that reveals what previously picked-up items do.

On Switch 2, online play requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership, and the game supports cloud saves.

What’s included in Repentance+

The package is the whole game in one purchase: The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth from 2014 plus the Afterbirth, Afterbirth+, Repentance and Repentance+ expansions, with all the changes made since Repentance came out in 2021.

Isaac flees through a trapdoor into the basement after a voice from above demands the child’s sacrifice, and every run through the randomly generated depths is different. The eShop listing counts more than 700 items, 34 playable characters, more than 330 enemy types, over 120 bosses and mini-bosses, several difficulty settings and a Bestiary that records the enemies you meet.

Rating, size and Switch 2 features

The ESRB rates Repentance+ Mature for blood and gore, crude humor, language, use of drugs and violence. On Switch 2, the download is about 1 GB, and the game plays in TV, tabletop and handheld modes with touch screen support. The eShop lists English as its language.
