Counter-Strike’s last Major of 2026 heads to Asia. Here’s when the Singapore Major runs, how teams get there and how to get tickets.

When is the CS2 Major Singapore 2026?

From Nov. 24 to Dec. 13, 2026, according to PGL’s two latest announcements, from April and August; its event page still gives Nov. 25 as the start. It’s the second Counter-Strike 2 Major of the year, after IEM Cologne in June, and the first Counter-Strike Major in Southeast Asia. The prize pool is $1,250,000. The final four days, Dec. 10 to 13, move to the Singapore Indoor Stadium, which seats more than 12,000. PGL hasn’t named the venue for the earlier stages or published the daily schedule.

Singapore is 13 hours ahead of ET in late November and December, so an evening match in Singapore starts in the morning on the US East Coast. It’s PGL’s fifth Major, after Krakow, Stockholm, Antwerp and Copenhagen, and the first Major played on OLED monitors, with an ASUS ROG model running at 720Hz.

How the Major works

Every Major follows Valve’s rulebook. Thirty-two teams play three Swiss stages of 16 teams each. Teams face opponents with the same record, three wins advance and three losses eliminate, and the matches that decide advancement or elimination are best-of-three, while the rest are best-of-one. Eight teams start in Stage 2 and eight in Stage 3, joined by the eight that advance from the stage before.

The top eight teams from Stage 3 reach the playoffs, a single elimination bracket. For the first time at a Major, a third-place match is played on the final day, Sunday, Dec. 13, ahead of the best-of-five grand final.

How teams get invited

Valve invites every team from its Valve Regional Standing, with separate lists for Europe, the Americas and Asia: 16 teams start in Stage 1, eight in Stage 2 and eight in Stage 3. PGL uses the standing published on Nov. 2, and teams must confirm their name, logo and substitute by Nov. 6. A team’s region is the one most of its players represent, and on Oct. 6, Valve added that a roster can’t take a region if it appeared in another region’s standing in the previous three calendar months.

A day later, on Oct. 7, Valve made an exception for BC.Game, the roster of asap, Magisk, mzinho, s1mple and Senzu. It assigned the team to the Asia region and made it eligible for a Singapore Major invite. The final list of 32 teams comes after the Nov. 2 standing.

Who won the last Major

Team Falcons won IEM Cologne 2026 in June, beating FURIA 3-0 in the grand final for the organization’s first Major title. On the way, Falcons knocked out Vitality, the defending champion and winner of the two Majors before Cologne, 2-1 in the quarterfinals, with every map going to 24 rounds. FURIA and Team Spirit both went 3-0 in Stage 3, the second Major in a row in which they did.
