Next Halo game: nothing announced after Campaign Evolved yet

There’s no new Halo on the calendar after this summer’s remake. Here’s what Halo Studios has released, what’s coming in December and what’s still unknown.

Is a new Halo game announced?

No. Halo Studios hasn’t announced a game after Halo: Campaign Evolved. There’s no title, release date or platform for the next Halo.

Campaign Evolved came out on July 28, 2026, on Xbox Series X|S, PC and PS5. It’s a remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign, rebuilt with new visuals and cinematics, and it adds a new three-mission adventure with the Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson. You can play it alone or with up to four players online, with crossplay. It costs $49.99 on Steam and the PlayStation Store.

Halo Fest is the next date to watch

The next big Halo event is Halo Fest, a celebration of the series' 25th anniversary in Seattle on Dec. 11-13, 2026. It opens on Dec. 11 with a Seattle Symphony concert at Benaroya Hall, followed by a two-day convention at the Seattle Convention Center on Dec. 12 and 13, with developer panels and an HCS tournament.

Halo Studios says the convention will have a few surprises it isn’t ready to share. That’s not a promise of a new game, but it’s the most likely Halo stage before 2027. The night before, on Dec. 10, comes The Game Awards, another place where big reveals tend to land.

What you can play in the meantime

For multiplayer, Halo Infinite has been free to play since Nov. 15, 2021. The Master Chief Collection still has the older games, and Campaign Evolved is the newest way to play the first one.

This page is updated as soon as Halo Studios announces the next Halo game.
